About Us

Your neighbors building fences that last since 2016.

We started this fence company in Denham Springs because we got tired of seeing homeowners get burned by contractors who didn’t show up, didn’t finish jobs, or built fences that fell apart after the first storm. After working for other companies and seeing how things should be done right, we decided to do it ourselves.

Our story really began during the 2016 flooding. We spent weeks helping neighbors rebuild fences for free because that’s what you do when your community gets hit hard. People remembered that, and word spread about the local guys who actually cared about quality work and helping people out.

Why We Know Denham Springs Fencing Better Than Anyone

Living and working in Livingston Parish for over 8 years means we’ve learned things you can’t pick up from a textbook. We know that clay soil off Juban Road is different from the sandy soil near the Amite River. We know which neighborhoods flood during heavy rains and need special post installation. We’ve worked through Hurricane Ida, the 2016 flood, multiple tornado warnings, and ice storms that snap fence boards like toothpicks.

Most importantly, we know the people. We’ve built privacy fences for teachers at Denham Springs High School, repaired storm damage for families in Juban Parc subdivision, and installed commercial fencing for businesses along Range Avenue. When you call us, you’re not getting some big company from Baton Rouge – you’re getting neighbors who live here too.

Our Team and Experience

Our crew has been together for years, which matters more than people realize. Fence installation looks simple but there’s a lot that can go wrong. Setting posts the wrong depth, using cheap hardware, not accounting for drainage – we’ve seen all these mistakes from other contractors and spent time fixing them.

Mike, our lead installer, grew up in Walker and has been building fences for 15 years. He can look at your yard and tell you exactly where water’s going to pool after heavy rains. Tyler handles our estimates and customer service – he’s the one who answers when you call, not some call center in another state. Bobby runs our repair crew and worked construction before joining us. He’s the guy who shows up during emergencies when storms knock your fence down.

We’re all licensed, bonded, and insured. That might sound boring, but it protects you if something goes wrong. Too many homeowners have hired unlicensed contractors who disappeared when problems came up later.

What Makes Our Fence Installation Different

Other companies show up, dig holes, set posts, and leave. We take time to understand your property and what you actually need. Are you trying to keep pets contained? Want privacy from that busy street? Need something that looks good from your front yard? Each situation needs different materials and installation methods.

We start every job by walking your property with you. We look for underground utilities, drainage issues, property line questions, and anything else that might cause problems later. We handle all the permits with Livingston Parish, which saves you trips to the courthouse and makes sure everything’s legal.

Our post installation is different too. Louisiana’s clay soil expands when it gets wet and shrinks when it dries out. That movement can push fence posts right out of the ground if they’re not set correctly. We dig posts deeper than most contractors – usually 30 inches instead of the standard 24. We use a concrete mix that cures properly in humid weather and won’t crack during temperature changes.

For gates, we use 6×6 posts instead of regular fence posts because gates create side loads that regular posts can’t handle. We’ve seen too many gates that sag within months because somebody tried to save money on posts. Good gate hardware costs more upfront but lasts decades instead of years.

Storm Damage and Insurance Work

Hurricane season taught us a lot about working with insurance companies. We spent months helping homeowners document damage, file claims, and get repairs covered. Insurance adjusters have specific requirements for estimates and photos. We learned what they need and how to present claims so they get approved faster.

We keep detailed photos of every job – before, during, and after installation. When storms hit and your fence gets damaged, having original installation photos helps with insurance claims. We also know which types of damage insurance typically covers and which they don’t.

After major storms, we prioritize emergency repairs for safety issues first – like sections that fell into streets or created hazards. Then we work through the list of cosmetic repairs. We don’t price gouge during emergencies like some contractors do. Fair pricing during tough times is just good business.

Commercial and Residential Projects

About 70% of our work is residential – privacy fences, decorative front yard fencing, pool enclosures, and gates. The other 30% is commercial work for local businesses, schools, and property management companies.

Commercial projects are different from residential work. Businesses need fencing installed around operating hours, projects often have tight deadlines, and the fencing needs to handle heavier use. We’ve installed security fencing for storage facilities, decorative aluminum fencing for office buildings, and chain link fencing around industrial sites.

One project we’re proud of was fencing the playground at a local daycare. The owner needed something safe for kids but attractive enough to fit the neighborhood. We used vinyl fencing with rounded post caps and smooth edges. Three years later, it still looks brand new and the kids are safe.

Materials We Use and Why

We work with four main types of fencing: wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain link. Each has advantages and disadvantages depending on your situation and budget.

Wood fencing gives you that classic look and works great for privacy. Cedar lasts longer than pressure-treated pine because it has natural oils that resist rot and insects. But all wood fencing needs maintenance in Louisiana’s humid climate. We recommend staining every 2-3 years to keep it looking good.

Vinyl fencing costs more upfront but saves money long-term because it never needs painting or staining. It handles our weather better than wood and cleans up with a garden hose. The biggest complaint about vinyl is that it can crack during extreme temperature changes, but quality vinyl with UV protection handles Louisiana weather just fine.

Aluminum fencing looks like wrought iron but doesn’t rust. It’s lightweight, which means less stress on posts, and comes in lots of styles. It’s perfect for front yard decorative fencing or around pools. The powder coating lasts for decades with no maintenance.

Chain link isn’t pretty, but it’s practically indestructible and budget-friendly. We use it for dog runs, commercial applications, and anywhere you need security more than appearance. Vinyl-coated chain link looks better and lasts longer than galvanized.

Service Areas We Cover

We focus on Livingston Parish communities where we know the area well. Our main service areas are Denham Springs, Walker, Watson, and the Juban area. We occasionally work in nearby communities, but we prefer staying close to home where we can provide better service.

Being local means we can respond quickly when you need emergency repairs. It also means we know local suppliers, which keeps material costs reasonable and ensures we can get parts when something needs fixing later.

Getting Started with Your Fence Project

The best fence projects start with good communication. We want to understand what you’re trying to accomplish and help you find the right solution for your budget. Some people need maximum privacy, others want something decorative, and some just need to keep pets contained. Different goals need different approaches.

We offer free estimates with no pressure sales tactics. We’ll measure your property, discuss material options, explain permit requirements, and give you a written quote that spells out exactly what’s included. We don’t ask for large payments upfront – just a small deposit to order materials.

Our timeline depends on the size of your project and material availability. Most residential fences take 1-3 days to install once we start. Weather delays happen, especially during hurricane season, but we’ll keep you updated on any changes.
